A very successful Jazz Festival took place in perfect sunny conditions. The roads were closed off to traffic and people flooded the centre of Brecon which buzzed with excitement and wonderful music. Headliners, Darius Bruckbeck Quartet, visiting Brecon for the first time, filled the Guildhall with fantastic sounds.
The weekend got under way with the Festival Big Band at a packed-out Castle Hotel on Friday night. The Festival also hosted Atsuki Shimado Trio; Gerard Cousins who presented his Miles Davis Project; Annette Gregory & Friends, Hannah Vivian-Byrne, Nigel Price and Ross Stanley, Strings go Swing, Ashley Long John and trad jazz band, Broadway Originals. Jazz workshop took place with Rod Paton.
