Friends of Brecon Jazz [FoBJ] is a UK-wide membership organisation that has been associated with the Brecon Jazz Festival since its earliest days. Since the 2019 festival we can call ourselves international as we now have a Belgian member who we warmly welcome as a Friend.
FOBJ is a completely independent body constituted to support the Festival financially and to promote its continuation and development.
During the Festival we run a centrally located Clubhouse, with refreshments. It serves as a meeting place for Members and a place to receive programme information or just to relax. In addition, throughout the year, we keep Members up to date with information via newsletters and we negotiate membership benefits such as priority booking and a discounted Weekend ticket for early booking. We maintain a good year round relationship with the promoters and other organisations involved with the Brecon Jazz Festival. Our members really appreciate being able to book concerts early to avoid disappointment and the Weekend ticket discount.
Our membership fee is competitive, less than most Friends organisations around the UK. There is an application form in the Join the Friends section.
